Meet Catherine

I teach children and adults from my home in North Raleigh and online.

A little about me

Hi! I’m Catherine Kretzschmar — Cat for short. I’m originally from the UK and have been playing music in one form or another since I was a little girl.

I studied at Guildhall in London and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, earning a master’s degree in solo performance before completing a postgraduate teaching certificate.

As a teacher I am friendly and smiley. I think music lessons should be the highlight of your week! We can work on the music you enjoy, and make lessons as fun or as challenging as you wish.

I teach piano, voice, saxophone, bassoon and clarinet. If you’re unsure where to start, have a chat with me.
